Early life and Education
Syed Imam Haider Zaidi is born in Mohammadabad, which is a Qasba in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. His father was also a religious preacher who taught at the local Madrasa and had a great impact on the professions of his children.
After completing middle school in Allahabad, Zaidi began his journey of religious education in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)
Syed Imam Haider Zaidi left for Iran on 11 November, 1988 where he stayed for a decade, studying at the renowned Madarsay Hujjatya until 22 October, 1999.
For ten years he studied, researched and explored the depths of Shia Islamic studies under various eminent scholars namely Late Ayatollah Wijdani (Rahm), Ayatollah Waheed Khurasani, Ayatollah Nasir Makarim Shirazi, Ayatollah Hayati, Ayatollah Husaini Bo Shahari.

Syed was born in Mohammadabad, Mau district, Uttar Pradesh, India.
- Appears for an entrance exam to continue his scholarly study in Iran.
- Clears the entrance held at Madarasatul Waizeen, holding the top position, and is directly invited to Iran to continue his further studies.
Leaves for Iran to study at the renowned Madarsay Hujjatya.
- Syed returns to India with his wife and daughter.
- Begins his journey as the certified religious preacher of the Shia Islamic community.
- He finishes his bachelor’s and completes his master’s in Arabic from Lucknow University, Uttar Pradesh.
Syed was invited to Canada to give lectures during the month of Muharram.
Travels to Tanzania, Madagascar, Oman, Dubai and England to preach and give lectures at various Islamic institutes.
Syed was once again invited to the Jarfi Islamic Centre in Toronto, Canada, where he gives lectures during the month of Muharram.
Syed was invited to the Babul Hawaij Islamic Centre in Mississauga, Canada, where he has been preaching during the months of Ramadan and Muharram for more than a decade.
Syed performs Hajj in Mecca with his family and younger brother.
Syed ends his term as a member of the Central Haj Committee of India.
